I joined Roy back in September 2015 when I felt I was at the point where I required close week-to-week guidance on my training. I’d steadily been losing weight for some time beforehand but it ground to a bit of a halt despite still training really hard on a regular basis.
I felt a bit lost and really needed some close nutritional guidance and a varied structured training plan that would keep things fresh for me. I’m the type of person who gets bored easily, so I need my training to be varied, otherwise I just give up.
Training with Roy has been a pleasure. His level of detail into the aspects of eating and training he takes the time to study is great. We discussed things both on the phone and at the gym with regards to how I was training before and how I could train moving forward. Gradually the weight started shifting again and I didn’t seem to be having to push myself as hard at the gym as I was before. The results were great.

One of the biggest benefits I found working with Roy was how my strength changed. Although I was losing weight, my strength seemed to take a drastic spike. I was comfortably lifting more than before which was a confidence booster and made me enjoy my training even more!
Overall the two biggest things I’ve learned from Roy is that I can now manage my eating properly. I’m confident on what I eat on a daily basis and I now know when I’m eating too much. I feel I have the confidence to structure and vary my training plan myself.
At the moment the goal is to still trim down on some fat, however the time will come where I want to bulk up a bit. When that time comes I’ll certainly be going back to Roy for guidance.
