I have always felt I had a ‘good’ diet but knew I needed to up my exercise game. Having tried every diet/group/craze going my husband suggested we sign up to the 8 Weeks to Lean together.

I am SO glad we did!!!! I have learned SO much during the weeks and the support I have received has been unbelievable.

I haven’t just been given info for 8 weeks I have gained info and tools for life!!

.I haven’t gone from a size 14 to an 8, that’s not why I signed up, but I have completely overhauled my diet and lifestyle which has resulted in weight loss, inches lost, and most importantly improved health, energy and mental health.

Roy is the perfect coach if you value good, honest advice and are willing to put in the hard work to get results.

Also had a couple of MASSIVE NSV’s (non-scale victories)……. I bought a bikini for holiday 😱 (genuinely NEVER thought I would wear one again) AND my manager ordered me new tunics for work because the ones I have ‘are far too baggy now’. Also, officially dropped 2 dress sizes since I started the 8WTL programme.

Having just finished working with Roy for 4 months online I can safely say he is one of the best out there.

He genuinely wants you to not only succeed in your chosen goal but also build your own knowledge on nutrition and exercise.

This allows you to understand what needs to be done and why you are doing it.

My results over the weeks have been amazing and Roy is always on hand should you have any questions or need advice, it felt like he would reply via email of video instantly at times.

I signed up because I felt I was stuck in a rut, I knew what I should be doing but just never quite succeeded.

Previously done well with another online coach but felt that wasn’t sustainable and didn’t fit with family life, weighing food to within an inch of its life just was not for me.

After following Roy on instagram I liked his approach to food and exercise.

Now, after completing the 8 week programme I am impressed! Loved the training plans, and you get greats options of what to do based on your experience.

No food is off limits, just to maintain in a calorie deficit, if fat-loss is your goal. All stuff we know but the information you are provided with regards to food content makes sense. 

All meals we enjoy as a family, yes I’m tracking but that helps keep me accountable. Could I have done better, probably, but within 8 weeks I’m pleased with the results, I’ve had a few nights out, enjoyed wine at the weekend and not once have I felt as though I’m dieting.

Will I continue, without a doubt yes!  This is now a way of life, I don’t feel guilty for having a piece of cake or glass of wine, I just know how to balance that and not cause too much damage by using the tools that Roy has taught us. Would highly recommend this programme. I can’t even imagine how much better it would be working with him one to one.

I’m near the end of the 8 Weeks to Lean programme with Roy and I’m more than a stone lighter.

What I really like about Roy’s approach is his view that ‘life happens’ and that diet and exercise should fit round it.

It hasn’t been a hellish boot camp of torture and depriving myself of the things I like though. I’ve been on nights out, eaten big dirty burgers and tanked a few chocolate eggs along the way. Roy educates on how these things can be planned for and built into your plan.

I’ve tried to lose weight before but I’ve never enjoyed doing it. Roy’s way is sustainable and I will be carrying on long after this 8 week programme finishes.

Before I came to Roy at RX2 Fitness I was “fluffy”, tired, and my confidence was low.

Roy has helped me achieve that level of confidence where I can use the weights gym area by myself, always have the correct posture when exercising and the nutrition info has been the cherry on top.

I started off with a mindset to simply lose weight, but with the tips and coaching from Roy, I’ve realised you can do all that without starving yourself, be more energetic and enjoying the journey!


Since started I’ve lost weight at comfortable rate, and although that doesn’t sound much, I’ve done it at my own pace, without pushing to extremes and making me give up after a few months. And I’ve lost a whopping 10cm on my waist, and about 7cm from my chest.

The idea is not to obsess over your weight loss as measurements are more important to lose fat in all the right places and get lean in the process!

My fitness has increased noticeably, I can lift progressively heavier weights and generally push myself harder throughout each session – I’m actually looking forward to my workouts with Roy.


I couldn’t thank him enough, he’s the best PT ever!
